Course Description: A hearing loss is usually the primary health concern that brings patients to your door. Often these individuals fall into the senior demographic. Today’s seniors have adopted the Healthy Aging approach, a proactive approach to overall health and wellness.  We have a growing knowledge of the ear, body and brain connection and the positive impact that better hearing can have on overall health and wellness. This course will discuss looking beyond the hearing loss and considering the ear, brain and body connection when guiding patients toward better hearing.

Speaker Bio: Michele Hurley is a Senior Education & Training Audiologist with Starkey Hearing. She has over 25 years of experience in the hearing industry in a variety of roles:  training, sales and technical support.  Dr. Hurley has presented on a variety of topics at state, national and international meetings.  She earned her M.S. in Audiology at North Texas State University and Au.D. from the Arizona School of Health Sciences.
